The Loire Valley was interesting as its was a bit of nature I was missing but the rain/cold made it a bit difficutl to really enjoy. The group of travels was diversed but lacking the unity of focus to maxime our time and situation, along with egos and the many personal issues it felt more like an ordeal and not a vacation. I was looking forward to Toulon where it is most likely sunny and not raining ice.
Yet meandering the roads of the countryside was rewarding at times. Trees, fresh air (cold) and the castles were a good distraction. I envision a trip filled with quaint roads overlooking the castles, sprinkled with wineries and jolie bike rides.
Yet from day 1 it was a bit of a challenge as the cold and rain emerged.
